Last night, I dreamed a dream I'd never forget
When my tired eyes sealed shut at the tail-end of dawn
Morpheus spirited me away to a moonlit Xanadu; a sanctuary
Of beauty and peace. What a dream! It was my safe haven
For an entire day. I had fun! I wish I'd revisit again and again
There, all the troubles of the world are non-existent
It's an otherworldly getaway I wish you'd see for yourself
Akin to an Elysian field; absolutely captivating!
You'll be overwhelmed by a multiplicity of dazzling sights
At dawn, butterflies were fluttering in clusters
Over the field, as if all whispering secrets to each other
Hummingbirds were hovering from one bloomed flower to another
And I danced with the nymphs under the afternoon sun
On an elevated tree stump, I sat as though it were my throne
What a view! I could see the gorgeous scenery for miles
There, at twilight, fireflies swarmed the firmament generously
The stars were sparkling like diamonds, and birds were tweeting
Just for me. Moonlight shimmered on a small pond; fishes
Swimming under all happy and carefree. What a dream it was!
