Moon on a Spoon

If I could catch you the moon on a spoon
would you wear a red hat with a balloon?

If I could catch you the moon on a spoon
can we dance and romance on the moon?

If I could catch you the moon on a spoon
will the stars align all out fine-tuned?

But imagine the harmony that could be ours
as we dance to the melody of poetic bars.

Catching the moon on the spoon is for you
So spending time together carries me though.

When one is deeply in love , one is ready to do anything for the loved one. He/she will even go to the extent of plucking the moon from the sky and carrying it in a spoon. A great romantic poem in neat rhyming couplets. All the Best dear Miranda.

Andrea (below) stole my word: Whimsical is the feeling your lighthearted poem gave me. Truly a poem to 'frolic' through. I read your bio and as a Mother of a special needs son (now 39, still living with me), I want to thank you for working with them. My son's IQ is around 70, but I know many such as you wrote of from school and Special Olympics. I don't recall ever 'meeting' you. I left in 4-22, came back 1-25. You want to revise last line, first para of your bio (I'm helpful). HUGS...CayCay

Glad you fond this whimsical. As for my bio, my simply riding on the bus with the special needs students is something I've done for almost 9 years now. This year I get moved from bus to bus, because if someone doesn't come into work they ask me to fill in. The Special Olympics would be cool to see.

Miranda, Pure magic. I loved the way you create playfulness with deep emotions. Catching the moon on a spoon is such a beautiful image! I love the gentle love and rhythm in every line. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
