Moon Child

“I am a child of the moon” I conclude,
While I sit with poetry sunken in solitude.
I am in a city of stars tonight,
Without a single flicker of worry in sight.
You may call me peculiar or just too shy,
But I know in my heart, that I belong to the sky.

I am tranquility and wonder under moonlight,
With the hands of an artist and words of a playwright.
Many will ask me where I found inner peace,
And I tell them to go where bad feelings cease.
Ask the night sky for guidance and it will deliver
Insight into life, even if only a sliver.

I took inspiration from what makes my heart beat,
without nature and moonlight I am incomplete.
this poem may not always take the win, and that is okay.
I know I expressed my feelings in the perfect way,
and my message speaks to the world.
