Money

Worthless paper that purchases souls
makes a poor soul a king
makes a king a god
The more you have the more you want
nothing is ever enough
Palaces, planes and yachts
wine lust and satisfactions
Art jewels and gold
The Fountain of Youth is a Swiss Bank Account
The richer you are the more famous you become
a celebrity for nothing you done
Opulent and pampered lifestyle
exquisite fashion finest foods
All the friends money can buy
Spend spend spend
The Best, The Most, The Biggest

I squeeze my hands between the couch cushions
looking for loose change. Hear the jingle of the ice cream truck
see the happy anticipation of young faces
Forget it, use the credit card and off they run
for a summer treat. Money it is never enough...
