Monday Morning Clues

Monday morning clues
What did they do on the weekend?
The smiling ones
Do they mean it
Or are they hiding their truth?

Did their wives beat them?
Did their dogs hurt their feelings?
We all wear our masks
Especially on Mondays
Revealing nothing.

That's the way; everybody wears that mask; no one has a clue.

We parade in, strangers, revealing nothing....until someone cracks.

So very true- & I love how you mentioned about the 'clues'... as I often get a brief glimpse behind the masks by noticing those little things. Great write! ;)

Thank you; I am on a little "roll" this week. I feel like I cannot write this junk down fast enough.

Thank you Allen. I am in the throes of writing poems this week for it is 76 degrees here, and I love sitting in the sun with a notebook for hours.
