Monday Afternoon At Three

I'll meet Guru Jad at three
I’m sure we’ll talk poetry
What’s new on the Soup
The latest wild scoop
While we eat under a tree

It’s nice to have a good friend
Someone who does comprehend
That words are sublime
And poetry’s fine
Our love for words a nice blend

Should have baked a carrot cake
But last night I stayed up late
We'll still have some fun
Get burned by the sun
Talk of Soupers who are great!

We might just mention you too
So without further ado
I’ll just say goodbye
Don’t miss me- please try
Cause I'll have fun without you! ;)

PS….love ya’ll, but it sure is nice to talk face to face with a poet who is in the same PS community and who loves words as much as I do. Check him out at GURU JAD! ;) BTW...it is a glorious day in Beirut. Our campus is just blooming with life. Wish I could share the beauty and colors with you all. My beautiful jacaranda trees are about to burst into a profusion of purple color! Oh...I wish you could see it all! :)  Our Creator is simply amazing!

It's awesome to have someone understand you more and your interests... though he doesn't write in poetry but more novel-type stuff, at the end of the day, he still uses words as an outlet for expression. We had a lovely time and he brought me some treats and we got to talk to some poets on campus. I got to show him where the Media Center and studio of Al Waad.
