Mom's Delight
Basking in mirth’s pleasure from seizure’s test
striving boy blends well with Mom’s crooning voice
outgrowing not delights of lullabies
wafting joyous bonding blest wonderment.
Around gracious love-sealed partnership-zest
so oblivious of burdensome noise
candid son shows secrets, devoid of lies
through language Mom grasps in her discernment.
By sweet kiss of innocent caress’ best
dear tot greets Mom with his jubilant poise
acting serene, though spastic-angst defies
championing steadfast care merriment.
Mom does surmount nurturing challenges' height
midst thanksgiving bliss for special child's flight.
