Moments With You
Could I just have this moment with you – the one that doesn’t come by often
I just want to soak it all in and remember every detail for the nights that you are not here
For the nights that you are not near
Of course I long for you, far more than I care to admit, and when I don’t say that I miss you that’s when I do the most, that's when I crave you the most, that's when I refuse to acknowledge how deeply I feel for you
Could I just have this rare moment, a memory that I will cherish
I just want to get lost in you
I just want to get lost to you
Some want to feel needed but I need to feel wanted
Show me that we can escape reality, show me in this space how infinite we can be
Show me how you feel for me, how you’ve hungered for my warmth, my body, my soul
Show the parts that you keep hidden from the world and let me hold it close to my heart
Allow me to grasp this feeling where you taught me that it's okay to want things that scare you and that it's okay to reach for improbabilities
Allow me to show you how easy it is to be present, that if we let down all those walls and forget about the illusions of time and space, this moment could be immeasurable
Look deep into my eyes, that’s where you’ll see my truth
Because when I look in yours that’s when I feel most alive
That’s when I’m most vulnerable and open to the possibilities that I otherwise convince myself aren’t true
Show me that this is as real as it is surreal
All in this one moment with you
