Moments

A sparkling dewdrop is glanced by the early morning’s rays
It hangs precariously
Suspended temporarily
Seemingly defiant of the downward drag
Moments are what they are
Magical and mesmerizing
Gracious gift-wrapped surprises
Which re-invent routine
And emancipate euphoria
Intoxicating and exhilarating!
Moments were never meant to be trapped in time
Suffocated by our indulgence
They are points in time determined
Exceptional and unique
Don’t ask them to linger
It’s impolite
Dew drops disappear as the day drags on
Best you be grateful before they be gone
