Momentarily
like a branch
in winter's wrath
weighted down
pale and bare
ready to snap
coming undone
drooping
downward
numb
to touch
then the sun
smiles
on you
the warmth
melts your heart
just enough
to lift you
back up
even if only
until the next
blizzard comes
and burdens you
again you are free
momentarily
