Water's quiet pool
Silent movement of a deer
Anticipation
Darting motion of the eyes
A twig snaps, thirsty deer flees
Quiet water still

Frederic, when we see deer in the wild, we have to move very quietly. They hear everything. The deer likely return after dark to drink. Enjoyed this captivating poem! Congratulations on your win! Best Wishes, Carolyn
