Modus Operandi

Some days are up some are down Seems like there's no rhyme or reason Maybe the weather, maybe the news Maybe it's the change of season Usually a very upbeat old duffer Been this way since I was a young'un Makes for a much happier existence At my best when I'm just a-funnin' Sure like to pass on my modus operandi But it's easier said than done All I can say is wake up with a smile Your days will be filled with fun At times people say my smiling face Can really be quite annoying “Don't you want to strangle the cat at times Grab her by the tail and swing” Must confess I do have those days But they're few and quite far between It's really a case of mind over matter You'll be happier than you've ever been © Jack Ellison 2013
