Modern Thanksgiving

T’was another earth ridden day,
It is November now, and
many turkey farms have depleted.

So many families will dine to ‘morrow,
Whereas ‘morrow was Thanksgiving
With a-many “good evenings” and plenty
of “good nights” went about the neighborhood.

Though, there’s more than meets thine bare eye.
There are those who won’t dine at all,
Instead, they spend life normally, on
such a holiday. That was to make all the difference.

Thanksgiving is a pleasurable holiday,
whereas it be a holiday at all,
With so many turkeys being spared now.
Things have changed
Things have surely changed.
