This is superb, Sara. I love that you chose a 'mocking' bird as one of the main characters. Best wishes to you. Love, Deb

Puts the reader right there, Sara. I like what Daver says. Is this out your kitchen window? :) We have 9 cats to watch out there. Birds constantly in jeopardy!not to fear though ...these felines would rather catch a can of friskies gourmet delight....

Don't think that the cat was quick enough to catch the birdie! Enjoyed your funny Haiku today, Sara! Thank you for your kind comments and have a great Valentine's day...Gert

Sara, great scene here, filled with suspense. I love Robins. And cats to, in their place, but not this place. Thanks for your comments on Grandfather's Clock Revisited. I don't know how many will recall the old song that I referred to, glad you did. One more thing, can you tell me how to post a message on My Soup Mail? I can answer one received, but don't know how to initiate a new one. Thx. JT

I can just see this happening. No doubt, the bird will fly away before the cat is able to pounce. Best to you, Diane

Sure hope the mockingbird gets away, Sara. When I had cats, they caught rabbits, mice and squirrels, but they never left a bird on my doorstep. Great image -- you created suspense! Love, Carolyn
