Mixed Signals

Here I go again writing about you I could talk about this til my face turns blue You got me lost sendin’ all these mixed signals First you want me then you don’t…reading chapters on Kindle You get drunk and start talkin’ but I don’t get my hopes up That’s like snow in July…that’s just hopin’ for bad luck Everything sounds great… like we could work it out If this and if that’s not what I’m about I love you like no other… I tell the world…no undercover You love me like no other but now I really sit and wonder Say you’re only sexin’ one… that’s me Don’t wanna cuddle cause I might start to believe Afraid I might believe in us… I guess they call that faith You still look at me with love in your eyes… but try to keep a straight face Sittin’ in your room listenin’ to sad songs Then songs of hope but I cry and I’m wrong You got me confused… I can’t even decode it Wish I could read your mind like Avant in four minutes Maybe then I could understand why your confusion has me confused I just want this to be right again like nothin’ but good news If you’ll just tell me you’ll keep fightin’ I’ll go to the end of the world for you…no lyin’ So stop sendin’ mixed signals…let’s make peace and win Let me show you how to love and let’s start all over again By: Aleasha Martin

Youe rhymes are perfect and your meter is flawless. Such an excellent poem, I feel your confusion and I am sorry. I hope it has all worked out, and if not- better days will come. Love, JuliMichelle
