Missing You

These are the days
   of missing you
   and wondering
just how I got through it.
The days are bright and sunny
then dark gray, cold and wintry
as April plays the game of change.
The flowers peek out and seek the sun
embracing the warmth as it comes
   touching sleek, slender stalks
bravely stretching out of the darkness.
Blossoms glow in yellow hues,
   ivories and blushing pinks
   and sweet cherry cherry reds.
Clouds inch in and paint a darkening gray
  that shadows into purples
  fighting back black indigo
that spawn a threatening stormy gust.
Rain falls wildly, cold, large drops
that spank the stones and brush
as lingering autumn leaves find escape.
It is the in-between time
when winter gives in to spring
turning the world over again and again
and I still miss you.

And it most certainly shows, in this descriptive, dazzling, display. I feel blessed having read it this day! Peace and many blessings to you Babbit.
