Missing Since 1983

Missing Since 1983

I’ve moved 19 times
And I’m only 15
I’m not in the Army
I’m not in the Navy

Cause everytime I leave
I leave something behind

Raised by a four legged friend
Trying to do her best
Made sure I ate, drank and slept
And as Merle said, “Mama Tried”

Cause everytime I leave
I leave something behind

I can’t make up my mind
Not knowing how it will unravel
Lord hear my prayers
Cause I don’t want wheels on gravel
