Notes About The Poem

Missing Muse Blues

Every day, every day I got the blues Some days so bad I lose my muse I seek her here, I seek her there – She’s abandoned me; she doesn’t care To lose your muse is not good news But she tires some days and needs a snooze My poor old muse is in need of a break I hope she returns or my heart will ache Every day, every day I got the blues Some days so bad I lose my muse I seek her here; I seek her there – She’s abandoned me; she doesn’t care I give my muse some time to rest Wrap her up warm in my thermal vest She snuggles up in comfort, and over time Happy thoughts return to this muse of mine Every day, every day I got the blues But my muse is content she’s had a snooze Harmony returns, it’s such a happy day My muse has returned from her holiday 14th June 2015

So love the title Jan, and yes, is there a Muse hiding place that needs to be discovered. I loved to write 'Story Poems' and I haven't for quite a while now. Please point me in the right direction to the muse hideaway, hugs // James xx

I wrote this about 3 weeks ago at the blues festival I attended - wrote 4 poems sitting in the sunshine ... my advice go out see some live music and be inspired - but do allow your muse to have a rest too - even it needs to recharge its batteries from time to time:-) Hugs jan xx

Very nice, ironically be kind of humorous if your muse turned out o be a he rather than a she....
