Missing In Action

Trapped in this heat
Trapped in this leaf

They've all gone now
No one but me

Left for dead
In the wild jungle stream

The further I go
The jungle takes me

The longer I stay
The jungle sees me

Days turn into months
Skulls of beasts that I eat

Become my friends with no voice
My comrades and me

The sounds of the wild
Rush through my mind

I'm not a man anymore
I'm accustomed to true nature of mankind

I sing songs to the trees
I dance in the down pouring rain

In the cold of the night
I listen to the crackle of flame

The years past now have gone
Years under stars and the sun

As the soldiers come through
I watch from shadow who's who

Unaware that I'm here
Unaware that I see

I'm not a soldier anymore
I'm a being of the trees
