wow, that is powerful emotions penned, My granny her son disappeared at 15 , when the soldiers left Italy , he left with them, she thought he was dead until her re appeared 10 years later, a grown man, She passed out from the shock, true story, :(

WoW! A very deeply moving piece. It has happened a lot. Some were surprised and worried that something had happened to him. Other not surprised but disappointed that he wasn't man enough to say goodbye. My mother-in-law's father did that to her and her mother. Went out for cigarettes and never returned.
