Missing
My mother introduced us;
So endearing, wise and healing.
You always brought a smile
And your presence stirred a feeling.
When any situation called,
You always had the best replies.
You brought grace and calmed us all;
We could see it in your eyes.
Yet as years have passed,
I see you less and less and less.
I miss your valued presence,
As the world much meaner gets.
Where did you go dear friend?
What has driven you away?
Why the anger without end?
Are you still alive today?
I pray for your return
Because the world is in a mess.
Come back, come back to us…
Come home, come home dear Kindness.
