Mirrors Never Lie
Some days seem endless
Each passing hour doesn’t pass fast enough
They stay and linger as you empty yourself of emotion
Believing that it is better
To be numb and dead than living and writhing in pain
Knowing the world will forget your name
Some nights end too fast
Each shining star doesn’t shine bright enough
They rush to fade and hide
And the dawn just can’t wait
To end a dream and start a nightmare
But you never wanted to sleep anyway
You just didn’t want to stay awake
But today I am beside you
And it’s okay, throw your worries away
I’ll calm your raging storm
I’ll embrace your numb heart
I’ll warm your coffee in the morning
I'll soften your pillow at night
And you may not look for me often
But I’ll be here for you always
Believe me, mirrors never lie
