Mirror of Memories
I hold a name
Oh no! I forgot it
Let me ask….. oh no! I forgot his name too
Yes, I remember my eyes, nose and lips
I know my face, I have seen this
But my name!
Oh Yeah, Katy I am
Ha ha ha funny to forget my name
But how on earth, all of a sudden, I wonder!
Jake must know why
Oh yeah, he is Jake, my hubby
Who sings romantic lullaby
Why I forget things too often
He says I am careless and to focus
But I already forgot how!
I wonder! what if I forget everything
You, me and everything
I see a different i in the mirror
Doctor said its Alzhiemer’s
Oh yes, that’s the word ‘Alzheimer’s’
Let me write it down before I forget
Oh no, I forgot the alphabets
I see dancing alphabets, C, M, U, K
Let me sit in the kindergarten again
I see dreams fading
I see memories fading
Fading to void behind a veil
I wish I could unveil
I wish I could rephrase
I wish I could born again
But,
Who are you?
With a pair of beautiful eyes, a nose and lovely lips
Are you next door?
What is your name and
Why do you reflect whatever I say?
