Mirror Metaphors
Fragments of a mirror
lay one the floor,
and looking upon them
I see the fragments of myself.
Something,
I cannot put back together,
for who, who
could love something so tragically
B--R--O--K--E--N?
Just put me aside
you've killed me.
Broken
alone
and
cold.
Defenses down I try
to get a good look at myself
without them
only I do not know that face.
What have I become?
I am as broken as that mirror
I have slipped and cracked
into shard of nothing
and I wonder
do i try to fix broken lives
because I want someone
to fix my own?
A wise man once asked me.
SO:
would you put me back
together?
