Mirror

When I look at myself
I see a beautiful soul
A young woman with a heart of gold
I’m not perfect nor do I pretend to be
I’m just living life
Being me
I have flaws
As we all do
Through all of my struggles in life
To myself I managed to remain true
Things get hard
And I sometimes shut down
I’ve learned to stay strong and keep my head
High so I don’t drop my crown
I am a queen
And that is how I will live my life
Someday someone will be proud to call me their wife
I know my worth and I demand respect from all
If I don’t possess it within myself
That’s what will truly be my downfall
I’m not perfect nor do I pretend to be
I’m just living life
Loving being me!
