Mine Eyes Lied

Looking out the kitchen window
What is that mine eyes see
Pale Pink Running Rosebud looking at me
Let me look close at a miracle spied
Oh! White bleached dead leaf
How mine eyes have lied

great piece sara i really like the way you have portrayed the fallability of human senses that can happen, and you have made a poem from that! so we find the bleached leaf has had a use indeed.

Amazing portrayl of how imagery stirs a different response in every mind Creating descriptions of colors and emotions etc. At times giving us a vision of what is yet to birth even from the frail white leaf Love Cookie

Things are not always what they seem to be. My eyesight's not as good as it once was, Sara, and I probably would have thought it was a rosebud as well. Enjoyed the humor in your poem! Love, Carolyn

This is just so wonderful, you captured a moment, well done, just beautiful and regarding your comment about the death of my Peanut cat, thanks so much, it was hard yesterday, I will tell you that and like you said of your dog telling you, she told me,"it was time" how we love our pets~~
