Mindfulness
“ego borne urges, simply follow base instinct
the monk may be found roaming the love throb precinct”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Constant vigil of our reflex response
positions us at the crossroad of choice,
one instinct driven, the other conscience.
Hermit, to retain equanimous poise,
we would do well to hark our inner voice.
All contractions in domain of ego,
narrow and shallow thoughts we best forgo,
deflecting us from innate bubbling bliss;
touch divine is seductive and mellow,
wherein we feel complete, nothing amiss.
