Mindful eye
Notice the decay
of form, here to stay
but our heart yet sings,
minding not life’s stings.
Notice the stark fear,
that dark thoughts draw near
but if we be still,
joy will overspill.
Notice heart’s desire,
now a raging fire
but if we look on,
erst cravings are shorn.
Notice staid stillness
ushering wellness,
so let us choose peace,
turning a new leaf.
