Mind Over Matter

Mind Over Matter
By Sandi Hoot

Intact visualization in front of the mind
Whether happy or sad still one of a kind
In color or shadows of faded black and white
Brewed in my mind in the dark of the night
Floating in air with glittery dares
eyes that just continue to stare
A meeting of the heart
the souls drifted apart
What's the answer for today?
Should I let them slip away?
Centered sometimes from fear and hard times
looking for that comforting warm shelter to find
self examination or sometimes painted by broken dreams
Mind over matter should be easy it seems
Go forward and complete the task that's at hand
Breathe and continue to stay firm where you stand
Looking back I see only one set of footprints in the sand!
