Notes About The Poem

Contest:  AI: Panacea or Pain?

Sponsor: Simon Rogerson

Date: 25-08-2025

( not against technology but against misusing it )

Mind or Machine?

God’s creation dispenses comforts.
Many of man’s creation deliver frets.
AI, the weapon of the wisest,
Adds no more cognizance to the existing.
Don’t assume it a dumb servant.
It will take us under its authority.
There will be a pandemonium as
The reality would go under the covers of falsity.
One day, the whole world will seek a philosopher's help
Ethics, values, and logics of life will be the new lessons.
Creation of technology is all right.
Let it not be a cremation of human threads.

I agree; change is good (inevitable); choices are getting better (improving) but Christ remains the best (immutable). Artificial is an excellent descriptive term for intelligence making promises (for some) to be the new god of culture change. What will be, will be.

Hi Patri Many congratulations on winning my AI poetry contest. Your poem raised key warnings without a hint of AI aversion. I head off to Lisbon next week and will be using your poem (fully accredited of course) at the international conference (ETHICOMP2025) I am involved in. Best wishes Simon
