Mill Wheel Testimony of Prayer Power
“The mill wheel wouldn't turn until the spring,
We need your prayer to withstand the looming crisis.”
Though I haven’t experienced yet a wintery chill in our tropical land
This report of our foreign missionary struck my heart.
Accordingly, crucial for the residents’ triumph over winter’s affliction
The mill wheel is landmark of God’s presence; blessings’ source
Warmth-provider, service force-power, diligence-propeller
Nourishing bodies, nurturing souls, nestling-hope of spirits.
Soon whispers ran through the town from door to door
Conveying mill wheel’s need to rest midst cold season’s challenge.
With undaunted zeal, the folks with their faith asked for divine fire
In their revival meeting, they trusted the Sovereign life-mill wheel Driver!
Then the reaching-out fiery supplications kept on spreading
Kindling sympathizers’ compassion; burning scornful doubts
Thawing frozen apathy… bringing good tidings…
“Ice melts, revealing secrets- wheel creaks.”
Rejoicing for such great news, the prayer warriors thanked the Lord
Among them was my church family that huddled in the altar
To uphold brethren* – even so many miles away – in difficult times
Showing prayer-might around God’s love-cord!
*2Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you.
