Notes About The Poem

Migrating

MIGRATING

Juana and I sit on the fence,
swing our legs,
throw seeds for birds,
check nests for eggs.

Juana,
like the migrating bird
that traveled mile upon mile,
is here now too,
but I hope she stays longer
than the bird that flew.

Such sweet words for the little guys on their journeys and for dear Juana. Very expressive! Linda

Your analogies are excellent, and your poetry is really well-written. Thank you, Raven, for stopping by my page and leaving a comment on my poem Quietness. I hope you will get the opportunity to read some of my other writing. I'm delighted to have established a fresh line of communication with you.
