Wrote this while having a migraine attack, somedays the pain is too much, and pills a reality, that I can't get rid of. I feel for all those who suffer from Migraine and any pain or sickness.

My mind spirals with murky metaphors In kaleidoscopic circles where Graphite moon-walks through magnified pain Reaching a piercing sphere noisier than A whirling maelstrom wrapped In fluorescent fogs of frosty confusion Neon green stars amidst chaotic intrusion Engrossed in pills and throbbing tribulation Maybe these flawed verses would Undress the crippling reality of a Shadowed poetess drowning in distress Inking torment from unsolicited riddles Numbness that riots into the Gates of a crystalline glass library Sanctuary of throes in unfinished prose

How intense is your musings on the torment of migraine. Even such a tortuous feeling can be conveyed so powerfully by a gifted poet. "A whirling maelstrom wrapped In fluorescent fogs of frosty confusion". With this line you have nailed it, my friend. This is exactly how I used to feel when I had migrane attacks for long years. Fortunately I am completely relieved of it now after reaching a certain age. Dear Empress, I feel for you and pray for you to get freed of it at the earliest ! This acrostic is so impeccable clothed in the right words and expressions making one truly have a clear idea of what kind of a scourge, the migrane victims pass through.

This is one of the best Acrostic poems I've ever read, Ink. I've never had migraine headaches myself but have family members that suffer from them. I'm praying for healing from this suffering, my friend. The pills and medications in general usually make me more creative, but the pain involved I want no part of. Try to get some rest, maybe that will help. A concerned friend in Texas, Bill

The fact that you produce no less than your usual breathtaking ways of weaving words, whether through migraine attacks or blocked moments of numbness, is truly a marvel to me! Lines you weave are truly like no other words I’ve had the honor to read and feel, the diverse ways your mind and heart works makes me wish I could look into it deeply, my beautiful soul sis! It’s such an honor to be a part of your writing and life journey right by your side, lovely, graceful, thoughtful, selfless soul

So sorry you have to feel this. I too have chronic suffering and there is nobody in my entire state who it seems can help me because my conditions are so rare that nobody has even heard of them. I had a really bad headache only a few times in my life and they were so horrible, I can't imagine living with them day to day. Hope there is some kind of pill for you. I take something but it really does not help!

You created a piece of art through the pain. Creative descriptions, and it's even acrostic. I seldom get migraines, (when my neck is out, stress, or covid) but I can relate. Poetic hugs.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, yes when i got my covid shots my migraines did get worse. Appreciate your visit truly

When I was coming down with COVID two years back. I had my regular appointment with my doctor that was already scheduled and I told him I was having the worst headache(didn't know it was COVID). He said it was migraine giving me samples of Nurtec. I got nauseated because of the COVID and because that was a side effect. Something happened during the night and I felt a relief from the headache so that one might work for you. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara

Despite the agony of pain, you delivered a meaningful write people can relate to. Eloquently expressed, Ink. This line sums it well for the fine poet in you: Sanctuary of throes in unfinished prose.

Not a poem that anyone wants to write from first hand, and yet this is strangely beautiful. As you articulate the moment, I feel a connection and insight to you in your suffering. This is what good poetry does from the depths of human experience. I wish you all the healing x

a stunning Acrostic, dearest Ink. After reading your words, I can understand the migraine pain and its impact on your writing spirit. Your words beautifully describe something that is so beautiful. Your words gave me pause. 'In kaleidoscopic circles' was a powerful and engaging line. Knowing about your migraines creates more admiration for you. What strength you and your muse must have. Sending you a comforting hug for the day, Sara

This reminds me of the times I couldn't sleep for days (I'm bipolar) and I must take pills who offer me something normal beyond the mania. I love this friend. Prayers for your migraine attacks. God bless you, love, Gina

"Neon green stars amidst chaotic intrusion", "Engrossed in pills and throbbing tribulation", "Inking torment from unsolicited riddles", "Gates of a crystalline glass library" Even though your metaphors might turn murky amidst magnified pain, but they will never lose their eloquence, because you breathe poesy! Always keep writing and shining, you're a true inspiration for me :)
