Mighty Mercury

                          Alert then aloof, snuggly warm then colder                                                                          
His rangy legs spring to hitch a ride on our shoulder
Lifting our hearts to elation
He’s our portable vacation
We cherish Mercury more each day we grow older

Mercury steels the show. My wife and I just fell in love with a feral younger Kitty cat. He is Rusty color, so we named him Rusty. He was coming around our yard and he looked hungry. I had a can of tuna and I fed him and gave him water, and organic milk. The following day he came by and was communicating with me, meow, meow, in Kitty language I assumed meant feed me. I went and got Rusty some milk and during this time, I drove to the store and bought him cat food. My wife fell in love with

Rusty she was worried he was going to get hurt being out in the wild. Rusty would take off and then show up at our front door for four days. Finally we felt an urgency to protect him. We set up our porch area for Rusty it is Rusty's area now. He loves being with us, next week we are taking him to the vet to have him checked out. My Rough Collie Tavi has been a gentleman around Rusty. Rusty has quite the appetite, four meals a day. I think he is making up for all those days he didn't eat out in the wild. I could relate quickly to the love and admiration you have for Mercury. I fell the same way about Rusty. Robert this one is a favorite, thank you for sharing and God bless you my friend.
