Midsummer's Eve
The breeze is soft and warm on my skin
as I lie in the night and watch
the stars move across the sky
I dream of times and ages past
when once I knew your love
How many times have I loved you?
How many dreams have we seen?
How often have we lain here counting the summer stars?
‘Tis a mystery of life’s unending realm
how souls seek and find each other
from life to life
As the summer’s eve breathes life
into the night,
so does your love breathe life
into my soul.
