Midnight Falls

The rising of the sun casts all into light
outlying the minute details of life
the hardship and struggle
and deprivation of hope.
The sun follows a dedicated route
from east to west never a new path
just like life itself
the same aches and pains dripping dripping
constantly through the I.V implemented
the symbols never change the seasons
the seasons never change their symbols
the plight of man can be simple enough
I can never be satisfied I want more
I need to want more
our minds can stretch beyond its borders
but yet we fall short of glory
time after time
just to reset time when time has come
just as midnight falls
so do we
