Midnight Brain Storm

At night I stay awake,
I shake with my eyes closed
I ponder past and present
Solving every problem posed

My mind is full of lightning
Its raining on my lawn
Pros and cons collide
Waves break against my door

Each night I tell a story
Then forget it in the morning
But the stars fall from my ceiling
Bleeding light inside my being

Forever never seems to last
As long you might like it
Should have written my thoughts in a diary
Instead of the inside of my eyelids
