Mid-June

As Mid-June approached, it was clear
That those who put themselves first had no fear
Amidst the chatter and fuss
They didn't budge or discuss
Other people's priorities were not their frontier

In the fourth person point of view, it's seen
That putting yourself first creates a serene
Life, full of balance and ease
Where worries and stress cease
Fantasy and reality colliding in a dream

Yes, it's important to care for others
But neglecting oneself only smothers
The potential for growth and peace
And leads to inner turmoil that doesn't cease
So prioritize your needs, and you'll discover

That standing strong amidst pressure and strife
Is possible with a healthy, balanced life
Reflecting on the darkest of nights
Through dawn and the brightest of lights
Putting yourself first is the secret to thrive.
