Middle Ground

Everything is middle ground…
There is no good without bad,
War without peace,
Hate without love or
joy without sorrow.

Compromise moves the world,
Helps us to grow,
Allows for harmony and
Preserves happiness.

“Granny’s Clampett’s” old,
“Yer either fer or agin me”, attitude
never brought the world peace.

Middle ground, is the battlefield
Of a war averted and unity is it’s reward.
The shiny medal upon the breast of a real hero.

Middle ground never discriminates;
Primary colors blend on middle ground
Like the facets of jewels glistening in light-play.
Their dance; a performance that gives new meaning
To the saying, “break-a-leg!”
No one waits for someone else to sing;
Middle ground gives everyone a voice.

There is no back and forth indecision;
Brother against brother;
No sending in the “idiot” clowns””
To cry for the masses on middle ground.
They’ve been replaced with reason and Compassion.
