Middle Earth Reflection
A famous Israeli writer just died
I read it in the newspaper this morning
Fame - the ever present hope
for a poet such as myself
J.R.R. was very famous
He had hsi detractors
The late Edmund Wilson was one
All writers and poets have their detractors
Well - a New Year is coming
Glad to be able to write this ode
Although I am not a Catholic
I know good wriitng when I see it
It is my contention
that poetry transcends bounadaries and religions
Remember the lyric
"Well I ahve never been to england - though I kind of like the Beatles"
So readers although we are not Beatles
We can still re - read the Hobbit and feel happy!
