Methodical Transition
The bare trees stood waiting for their buds
A new chapter of growth and beauty to begin
Lush green color will take over the landscape
Long before the multiple colors will explode
A bear scraped bark off a tree the other day
The shavings were left beneath on the ground
Nuthatch continue to climb them upside-down
Woodpecker are hammering their holes for nests
There is a lot of transitioning activity around
While these story telling trees seem to rest
They lost many branches in the wind recently
Still, the growth of life drips with sap methodically
