Messages

Messages, messages pounding my brain
                Messages wanting to drive me insane
Blood pressures’s rising, better seek fear
                 Kidneys are failing, dementia is near

Pills for depression, pills for the pain
            Pills for the holiday weight that you gain
Talk to your doctor, talk to your nurse 
             Don’t forget also, best bring your purse

CEO’s marketing millions of meds
                       CEO’s out to maneuver the Feds
Raking in dollars for Beamers and Benz
   Hoping that none of us see through their lens

Messages, messages flashing my eyes
              Side effects whispered in rapid demise
Healthcare for profit has gone way too far
             Despite all the voices , I’ll be at the bar!
