Mesmerized

Mesmerized by the Monarch's flight
Flutter and swirling in the air
It danced around me so light
WIth happiness in its flare

it landed close to me a lot
Circling around me today
Taking rests in each peaceful spot
I watched it lift me on its way

My head turned with each move made
Such celebration to see
Not a reason to be afraid 
Mesmerized by serenity

My friend went along it's journey
Leaving me standing in its wake
Altered by swirling memory
With nothing left at stake
