Merging Adversity With Strength

I saw...
An Ant hurried away carrying a loaf of bread for winter
A stray dog digging the mud to hide left over piece of bone to eat later
A grandmother soaking under the sun anticipating her final days
A widow toiling to meet her children's needs

I also saw...
A hen protecting her chicks under her wings
A cat patiently targeting her prey
A monkey nursing her baby with pride
The Spider tries spinning it's web over and over

                                              However, until i saw....
I relentlessly wrestle over my shattered dreams
Beat my chest and race my thoughts
The nightmares that stay longer than summon
They say I dance to mourn, I sing to mock
Nothing good comes from the trees I planted
                                     But after I saw...
I perceive my life, a little better, a little shinier
I am no holier than thou yet mightier than yesterday
Unapologetically advancing, knowing pain is unbiased
                                      Grief exempts none
                                       Therefore, i'm schooling
                                       Merging adversity with Strength
And looking forward for triumph unfold.
