Mercy O Lord

Your kindness elevated me
past my sorrow and set me free.
For indiscretions I’m ashen.
	Mercy O Lord, and compassion.

Your goodness ever rescued me
from terrible shame you did see. 
Forgive my sins of blind passion.
	Mercy O Lord, and compassion.

Your loving grace shone over me. 
I have sinned, exceeding degree.
Take my exiguous ration.
	Mercy O Lord, and compassion.

Your countenance supported me
throughout the fears I wished to flee.
I’m filled with guilty admission.
	Mercy O Lord, and compassion.

Your outstretched hand beckoned to me
that I gratefully followed thee.
I ask You hear my confession.
	Mercy O Lord, and compassion.
