MERCY

Power to heal
Power to deliver
The power to change within
All are birthed 
Out of the mercy of God

But to flow in your mercy
One must embrace your grace
So difficult for a people
Independent and self-sufficient
Undeserved favor
Does not set well
When all of our lives
We have been taught
To earn with our labors
All that we have

To understand mercy
Is to see my own sinfulness
In the light of a perfect holy God
To embrace his forgiveness
With repentance but not penance
Mercy received is
Mercy I can give
