Mental Issues

When you have mental issues people make jokes at your expense They try to make you feel weaker because they don't see your strength We're treated different and left out for something we can't help People make fun of us, so we have to deal with our mental issues ourselves Some people are born with issues and illnesses they can't explain Imagine being called names and made to feel worthless by your own brain Depression takes you hostage and there isn't a ransom that can set you free It forces people to see the worst in you, wondering if they'll get to see the best of me Fear of talking about it because you know people will judge You're fighting demons when all you need is a hug Depression makes you feel like you don't deserve to be loved Your coping mechanism is to make yourself shed blood I don't have anyone to help me with the weight on my shoulders Most people leave when I tell them I'm bipolar My anxiety prevents me from doing a lot of things People without them make fun of mental issues, because they don't understand the pain it brings We shouldn't be treated different because we're not like you You don't understand a half of what we have to fight through We're born with an illness that we can't explain All doctors do is try to medicate us to try and help us feel less pain 5 years clean from it, but I'll always be a self-harmer in a lot of people's lives Because we're born different from you, you don't think we deserve to live equal lives We need support and help, not to be judged We're fighting demons everyday while we search for love When you have mental issues people make jokes at your expense They try to make you feel weaker because they don't see your strength We're treated different and left out for something we can't help People make fun of us, so we have to deal with our mental issues ourselves
