Mending

As we grow closer, the heart changes, And sometimes it becomes empty, People who loved us once, seemed happy with our love, Now seems to have a heart that's stone and blind. They say they haven't changed, but their actions show, Their heart grown cold, so distant and low. Their words seems like poison and arrows, Their actions seem to break us apart, Yet they still act as if they never caused a hurt. They blame us for their every suffering and loss, Thinking we're the ones who made their life miserable, Their heartlessness seems to know no bounds, And in the end, we question ourselves, Is this the same person we loved? Should we call them toxic and leave them behind? Or should we endure it until the end? We're asking this ourselves day and night, As we try to navigate through life's fight. And at the end, we get tired to fight back, It's up to us to decide, whether to leave or to stay, We have to be brave enough to believe, People may change as nothing's constant, Heart may change, heart may unlove, A person perspective of us may get different, Not everytime there's a reason , Not everytime you get a closure, Not getting a proper answer but a taunt, It may means we should just give ourselves a closure, And Walk far away from those who cause us hurt, Who doesn't care about our effort, Let them lose you, Let them think they win... 20/10/2023
