Mendacity In the Chat Room

Mendacity in the Chat Room

By Elton Camp

"I am only fifty years old"
Is what the aged geezer told

"You know, I am quite rich"
Claimed a man living in a ditch

"Two hundred is all I weigh"
Said one the size of a bale of hay

"I starred in a movie, you know"
Didn't tell it was a horror show

"Of course I never smoked"
As he coughed and choked

"Whiskey is the worst of all"
As he gulped his highball

"Illegal drugs take my breath"
While he was then using meth

"I have been single for a year"
Making sure wife didn't hear

These are some reasons why
To assume what's said is a lie
