Memory - Sunrise

There's a soft amber glow in morning skies
heralding the birth of a brand new day
I welcome the warmth of every sunrise
with memories that haven't faded away

Beautiful so very beautiful. When I see the sunrise above lake Coniston from my window I think of this verse xx

Lin, so beautiful on so many levels. You remind us that each day is a God given gift wrapped in a "soft amber glow!" Congratulations on your win! Blessings to you for each sunrise!

Thank you so very much, Sam. I'm more delighted with the comments left by friends and poets than on the placement. ;-)

Dear Lin, I just love a God-filled sunrise, and today I am doubly filled with your quatrain. Memories are sometimes buried so deep they need a key, a word, a phrase, an image, to unlock them. Then there are those who are lost forever. Blessings, Daniel

Isn't it intriguing how the smallest thing can trigger a memory? Thank you very much for your thoughtful comments, Daniel.

That wonderful time of day Lin, when you greet the start of a brand new day. Hopefully the memories are happy ones. Tom

It really is the most beautiful time of day, Tom. I know we both appreciate the solemnity of early morning. Memories come unbidden... thankfully the good ones outnumber those that are not. Thank you.

This is so soul warming dear linnersz, im still not a sunrise person , more of a sunset person.. however everytime I read one of your sunrise poems , i appreciate sunrise a little bit more! Ofcourse the artist in you is vibrant here, so vividly flowing, your voice is like a brushstroke, painting imagery in such calm colors! Pleasure reading this gem. I didnt look at this contest yet, but now im interested. Best wishes my friend. Sending you light always!!

My goodness, Ink. Your remarkable comments are better written than my quatrain! I humbly thank you for every one of your appraising thoughts because I know the sincerity behind them. ;-)
